Important Announcement from the Rector

At last, I am pleased am pleased to be able to tell you that Necton Church is re-opening for public worship!

On Sunday 9th August at 10.00am there will be a service of Morning worship

You are warmly invited to attend but I must point out that this will be far from a "back to normal" experience. We must comply with the 2metres social disatancing rule and the wearing of facemasks will now be compulsory. Although we can play music, we cannot sing. We will not be able to greet friends as we would wish, and we may find our usual seat has been closed off!

We will do our best to follow the familiar liturgy, but I have to say that it will all seem very strange. However, it is a welocme start on the long road to normality.

We will have measures in place to make your attendance as safe as possible, but it has to be recognised that, in visiting any public building, there is an element of risk and each one of us must make our own assessment of that risk, as it affects our own individual circumstances. I will, of course, understand and respect your decision if you feel that returning to Church is not yet safe for you.

However, I hope that many people will be confident enough to come and join with us in public worship, which we have missed so much over the past months.

I am aware, of course, that some folk can't attend church in any event, so I am pleased to confirm that our You Tube online services will continue, although there may be some changes to the format in the light of experience with the church being re-opend for public worship.

Revd Stephen Thorp.

The Church will remain open for private prayer on Sundays until 2.30pm and will also be open on Wednesday from 2.30pm till 5.00pm.
